Ok, here we go! Got some serious shiznat in the mix for our community next couple of months!
1st and foremost, my pet project & OpenSIM are still in the kitchen and I am still cooking something up for that. For now, all is running smoothly. We have had a couple new registrars and people are starting to take notice. I anticipate an increase in that as activity picks up. We have a base sim up with some terrain, trees and buildings. ALL UC community have free access and can lay claim to their own piece of land.
UberVerse is officially out of beta and into solid state, fully running, 24/7 never going down. So things you create or build will remain until which time you delete them (please don't abuse this). If you wanna' come lay your claim, now would be the best time, as we do have people signing up pretty regularly now and we will run out of land at about 12-16 sims depending on the server load.

Next on our plate is Classic Game Servers Beta...
This currently consists of ET (original) ET:QuakeWars and at least 3-5 more games. All will be tied into a main site, on servers run by us. Most games will be free, some will be extremely cheap (we will probably give away a couple of pay accounts just to get things moving).
All of this will be tied into another site (hopefully of the java/flash kind), easily scrollable with viewable server lists, downloads and other game/multi-player integration.
More on that coming soon, if you really want to know more, hop in our Ventrilo and listen to the skivy from 3fold. He'll tell you the outline we have intended for it.
In other updates, we have some new improvements being worked on for the UberBar. If you haven't tried this fantastic internet tool yet you should definitely give it a peek. For those of you who have had it in the past but un-installed, the new updates may give you a reason to try a second look.

Moving right along, we also have more improvements in the way of 3fold's web site, with daily updates. Most importantly, just around the corner is a 24/7 radio station playing the tracks he reviews. Oh yeah! I wonder if he'll do commentary too? Dunno' but we'll see.

Woh, whole lotta' peeps floatin' in and out these days. A lot you know, some you don't. New clans are always coming (and going too, lol) in Vent (the voice server, duh!).
Wicket and his posse are knee deep in the ass of Garry's Mod with yet another Mod (Sub-Mod maybe? I dunno!) of that called Dark RP. If you wanna' learn more go here....

IceMan! Made it back in just a couple days ago. He'd been lost to U.C. for quite a while but he might have just wondered his way back in for a bit, after a long heralding journey. He comes back to us with stories of raves and anime'. Sounds like he's been following his passion! Good for you Iceman!
Mean while Doc, 9mm, Arch, and many more are mesmerized by Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare 2. They appear to be dug in there pretty deep. Can't say as I blame them but that game is still to expensive for me to buy, as is the case for the rest of us.
*Collective Sigh*
Oh well. Let's hope it's sheen begins to dull before to long and they'll start playing other games.
Next up the road is Majestic and his serious come back, he's been in vent a lot! Has a nice rig and plans to be playing a lot more too! Yay!

A few notables I would like to mention are Cam and the mysterious "smiley face" a.k.a. :) They are certainly hanging around a lot and seem to have adopted our Vent server as their home.

Adrenal, KrackManiac, Tempest and Ho (a.k.a. Artee) are still firmly locked in SL but have started breaking into vent a lot too (they tend to hide out in the lower channels for some reason, lol) but I seem to see them down there every now and again.
Aimtrigger is still around here somewhere I think, I remember him poking around here and there.
Fishbulb, I know man, I know. It's been a long, long time now. What? Like 3 years? Something? wow. Don't you think it's about time for you to..... ah never mind, you'll just find some reason to argue with me. lol. Fishbulb, myself, 3fold, Slacker, a_guy, James, are all pretty much doing our regular thing.
Frequent, heated discussions, battles, tactics, we like to to live it large baby! On the edge! Oh yeah. Constantly tearing at each other, jabbing each other, pushing each other to new limits. Keeping each other frosty and alert. Doesn't sound like much fun does it? lol. Well, we like it. lol.
What's in the mix for future? Well, more of the same U.C. community goodness, like sponsorships and free voice servers and free games. What types of games? Well, that remains to be seen thus far for our community as a whole.
Of course, there are always 2 very predominate figures represented by SA:MP (so far the biggest and most dedicated hands down) and VCO (it goes through spurts, lol, but always active and sometimes a force to be reckoned with).
After that it's anyone's guess. I would say close 3rd is SL, simply because we have members in there (like myself) that will not leave until a truly fantastic sequel or like game comes out. Even then, I think I would still play both. COD:MW2 may be bigger then that right now but in 2 months? 6 months? a year? I know SL will still have members, can't say about COD, lol.
Other games....
Left 4 Dead 2, Company of Heroes, Grand Theft Auto 4, and many more float around. I am sure if you just ask, someone will tell you where in our Ventrilo people are playing that very game. Isn't life grand? By willickers!
Games on the horizon....
All Points Bulletin or APB is touted as being in the TOP 10 most expensive games EVER MADE folks. And that's not just some puh-jizzy, that the real deal! Just think of this as the GTA4 that shoulda' been. I hope. lol

Another game that I have heard floating around is Atlantica. I haven't tried it yet but a couple of whispers have floated by my little mouse's ears. I think it's been around for a bit but is starting to pick up a little following.
Bio-Shock 2. Just around the bend for PC players, scheduled for release on February 9, 2010. I am personally a little anxious to play it. I did play the original from beginning to end. A very, very, awesome single player game. I would recommend it to anyone.

Another game, I recently re-discovered, is Roller Coaster Tycoon III ~ Platinum. Now keep in mind the Platinum version comes complete with Soaked & Wild add-ons already included. These together add a HUGE amount of fun things to explore and do. Also, with a more modern PC I can now expand the game to it's full resolution, add-in hundreds to thousands of park denizens, with hundreds of rides, all at MAX resolution and clarity. GFX settings maxed the fuck out and it looks really, really good.
Something else I don't think the game producers (Atarii) thought of when touting their game. It should have been called "Theme Park Tycoon". Maybe there was a weird clause some other game already had it, something weird like that. lol. Main reason being, it's not just about Roller Coasters, it's the entire myriad of things you might do if you could build an amusement park of your dreams.
Also includes awesome utilities to build your own coasters and rides. Experiment and easily upload and share your theme parks and rides with your friends.
Definite game to check out there, if you enjoyed it the first time around, Platinum is the way to go.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is also coming out of the gates. A couple people have picked it up here and there, it could be the next "thang", who knows. More on that here....
A new year has started with a bang. People are dying everywhere, the USA still doesn't have a decent health care system and Doogie Howser is gay? Wtf! I loved that wacky kid! And in, "Harold in Kumar go to White Castle", he certainly doesn't appear to be gay!?
Terrible.
Anyways, I was out of commision for about a month due to PC problems but now all is well, and I am back in action!
